One week on the new job
Hey it's been one week since I took this night job and it's getting better. I started out learning the whole thing at 7.5 hours last Monday but knocked out an install in just 2 hours on Thursday night. The work is not bad and I like the travel, even though it's at night, I get to see different places and meet different people.
One memorable trip will be the last one to Bennington, VT and the winding curving route 9 that took me through the White Mountains at night, during a big rainstorm. There was one point there where the fog was so thick I could barely see 3 feet in front of me. Then on the way down the mountain, my car decided to downshift to slow me down and I could feel the gears grinding!
One good thing happened this week: I might have hooked up with this smart Italian lady. She says she wants to meet me so I'm gonna do my best this weekend and see if something can spark!
