I get no respect

Today was an interesting day. I learned that AOL really sucks, even for their broadband service. One of my clients made 3 calls to AOL with no luck! They kept giving him the runaround until he was frustrated enough to scream. Just by co-incidence, I plugged a network cable into the wrong port on the router, and that combined with a ppoe setting(you'll have to look that up) got me online. I guessed later that adding an aol dialer, without adding the actual program, would get me online from a laptop wirelessly; and it worked!

On the way back, I tried calling Collen, the lady that I had a long conversation with on Wednesday. She picked up the phone and immediately slammed it down when she heard my voice! No respect my friends, no respect. Then to tap it all off, I got a call from Onforce claiming that the phone problem that I went to fix, couldn't be fixed by another tech. They have to call the phone company to fix it and they want me to take the heat. I had to explain how this problem existed before I got there and may need a deeper fix than either of us were capable of doing. It burned my blood a bit to know that so many people need a scapegoat instead of fixing the damm problem.

Just an afternote...I need to focus on the positive instead of the negative. I had a good day overall and made a client very happy. That's the main point of this day!
